Access to on-site sanitation facilities

Through the collaborative relationship of the WASH R&D Centre with eThekwini Water and Sanitation (EWS) unit, organisations wishing to undertake research into on-site sanitation technologies and the associated excreta streams are able to view the various technologies implemented in Durban (ventilated improved pit latrines, urine diversion toilets, pour/low flush toilets, community ablution blocks, decentralised wastewater treatment systems), obtain samples and implement research projects.
