This project focusses on Non-sewered sanitation education programme through the adoption and delivery of the content that has already been developed by the IHE-Delft (Netherlands). This project is focusing on the development and establishment of an MSc Programme in Sanitation in the School of Engineering, UKZN. This unique and internationally recognized programme is designed for completion in 12 months for full-time students consisting of 6 modules and research dissertation. In addition, the programme offers: i) online courses such different modules of the programme or the general FSM Online course; and ii) professional diploma based on the course modules. The project leader is Dr Konstantina Velkushanova, in collaboration with Dr Catherine Sutherland from the School of Built Environment and Development studies, assisted by a Doctoral candidate in the Anthony Odile (School of Built Environment & Development studies) and Research Assistant Zandile Jingxi (Pollution Research Group, School of Engineering).
